The Poor diabetic’s chain saw juggling act

The Chainsaw Juggling Act

chainsaw juggling 255x300 The Poor diabetics chain saw juggling actSo the UniverSoul circus is coming into town and Re cant wait to go, he has been begging me for weeks, that boy sure does love the circus and I wouldn’t mind taking him too but as usual it comes down to the money issue, can I afford to spend the 50 or so bucks that this is gonna cost when it is all said and done, hmmmmmm

That had me thinking of the three ring circus and as a kid how juggling was my most precious moment. I could see it now, the clown in the bright orange colors juggling  three, then six then 12 then 15 and finally 20 red balls I was so amazed that I will never forget the act.

Knowing me and my love for googling, Once the thought formulated, I figured that I have been juggling something or another all my life that  I figured that I  should have it packed down to a science right? how hard can it be? I mean I have all the basics and I have juggled some pretty important issues with some success so here we go.

How to juggle chainsaws

warning: do not try this at home, leave it to the professionals or those dumb idiots who think they can do it…. me included

One chainsaw
Hold one chainsaw by the handle and throw it with your right hand in the air. Get it to rotate once before you catching it with your left hand. Now throw it back to your right hand. Once you can do it about 30 times without dropping, pick up a second chainsaw.

Two chainsaws
Hold another chainsaw with your left hand. Throw the first chainsaw the same way you did it in step one. Just as it’s about to land in your left hand, pass the second chainsaw into your right hand from handle to handle while catching the first chainsaw in your left hand. Once you’re able to do 30 rotations without dropping a chainsaw, grab a third chainsaw.

Three chainsaws
Hold two chainsaws in your left hand and one in the right. Throw the chainsaw in your right hand in the air, like you did in step one, while passing the second chainsaw in your left hand to your right hand, like step two. Once you catch the second chainsaw in your right hand, throw it in the air while catching the first chainsaw in your left hand and passing the third chainsaw to your right hand.

Once you can throw three around without bruising your toes, it’s time for the hard bit – starting up the tree-shredding bastards before you throw.

Ok so it is not exactly as easy as they made it sound to be it never does but I have a Life lesson learned here somewhere I promise.

Diabetes is a big Juggling act, especially when it comes to money and financial resources.

When you don’t have enough to cover your living as well as your managing the disease, then you have to find savings anywhere you can find them.

When you spend $4 on your Metformin script instead of the usual $38 thanks to Giant Eagle and their discount program, then that means you have $ 34 dollars left to spend on test strips or the light bill.

So you see, am not the only one who has been juggling chainsaws, you have too, maybe you have been doing it longer or sooner and  maybe you are not quite as good at doing, but thats where we come in.

I would suggest checking out the poor mans guide to diabetes management, it can be quite a helper in this area.
