Happy trails from the tour de cure cleveland training grounds

Tour Team Happy trails from the tour de cure cleveland training groundsWith just about 18 days left to the tour de cure Cleveland, I find myself a bit unprepared, the weather has finally broken in the last week and I amĀ  finally able to put in the miles in training preparations, it is the end of May however and it seems that I keep starting later and later in the year. Maybe it has something to do with global warming and all but the north east Ohio weather is becoming more and more unpredictable.

Where workout and fitness is concerned, I just Love to ride, and if I don’t get my daily dose, it just puts me in a foul mood which naturally I blame on the big D. My friends are always asking me how I can spend hours on the saddle but I will not run to save my life and while I have no answer other than the obvious prior statement.

I always tell everyone who will listen that when it comes to an effective diabetes management technique, doing what you love is an essential cog to the system.

In the last week, I have managed to log in about 150 miles in preparation for this leg of the tour de cure Cleveland edition which is merely half of where I should at this point but the body will not let go any further, my goal is to do 50 miles a day during the week and 75 to 100 miles on Saturday, but with 18 days left, I am doubting if that is a realistic goal. I hate to admit it but my lofty goals of doing the century might be a bit enthusiastic at the moment.

The fundraising efforts are going very well thanks to a few tour de cure fundraising etiquette tips from friends and their support and I am on pace to eclipse the goals I set for myself in the beginning.

I am still looking for sponsors if anyone is interested in doing so just follow the link from my Facebook page Ronald Gregory on Facebook.

and happy trails we will see you there.
