		<description>I am on Metformin as well. Mine is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline and it&#039;s not effective for me as anything other than a maximum strength laxative unless I take it with the Glipizide i&#039;m on.</description>

I was on Actos for a few years after that but it really made my diabetes management challenging because I was gaining a lot of weight so the doctor decided to switch me to Metformin.
