Discount savings cards can come in handy when your are looking to save money on your diabetes medicines and supplies. Some of these cards can be store specific and some can be just discounts that the store offers on medications. A good example is the walmart or giant eagle if you are in Ohio, Pennyslavania or Vrginia. Giant eagle is a grocery store chain that followed walmat by offering almost 400 different generic drugs for $4 dollars that means my Metformin and Prinivil costs me $8 dollars a month, That is a very good discount. Normaly I would pay $24 for the Metformin and $38 for the Prinivil.
Remember to comparison shop, while CVS is a bit more expensive, $7.99 each for them on their discount program.

If you are in the other states I would suggest starting at Costco, they are always the cheapest alternative for me before the giant eagle deal, you do not have to be a member to use their pharmacy plus they have a mail order as well.
If you are interested in sighning up however use the executive plan, it will save you an additional 2% for everything you purchase it is just a few pennies but it does add up.
