A look at Diabetes mealtime management.

diabetes mealtime management A look at Diabetes mealtime management. Every time I have an opportunity to share my diabetes life with others I am truly honored.

I am not just saying this just to say it either, diabetes has had a profound effect on my life that and to yours as well and to me it is the ultimate honor when someone asks me to share this story in the hopes that it might touch or inspire someone else who has diabetes to know that they are not alone in the struggle.

One of the companies I have work with is Wego Health and when they approached me about doing a video on diabetes mealtime management, I jumped at the idea.

For those unfamiliar with Wego Health, it is an online portal whose main goal is to empower health activists to help others. In many ways I consider myself a Health activist so their mission and my own  kinda gel.

The video series we created with the help of fellow D alum and blogger Karen Graffeo @KarenBittrSweet of  The bitter sweet diabetes blog, and a few Sanofi Employees was about Sanofi’s Apidra.

First Let me say that it was a blast working with Karen, she brings a charismatic charm that is very disarming and keeps you at ease, I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. A peek at her blog and you will quickly understand what I am talking bout.

According to Sanofi, Prescription Apidra® is a rapid-acting insulin for adults with type 2 diabetes or adults and children (4 years and older) with type 1 diabetes to improve blood sugar control.

One of the cool things about Apidra is its flexibility, You don’t always have to dose before your meal. Or eat to your dose. With Apidra®, you can keep things flexible. Apidra® helps you manage your blood sugar at mealtime. You can take it within 15 minutes before or within 20 minutes after starting a meal.

If you are interested please check out the Apidra site for more information and their no co pay offer.

The video can be found on this Wego Health Sharing hub

Disclaimer:  I was not compensated for my time by either Wego Health or Sanofi for my work on this video and any information shared here about Apidra should not be constituted as Medical advice or am I a representative of Sanofi on any offers.

Wego Health has however promised to make a $1000 donation, with 100 Tweets or Facebook Shares of this program,  the Diabetes Charity of my choice so maybe I should be shamelessly promoting this…LOL

All you have to do is tweet this and I will forever be grateful.. RT 2 Help @Ronniegregorym & @wegohealth donate $1000 to a D Charity 4 the Sponsored #Diabetes Mealtime Management hub.http://bit.ly/J7vTyb

  1. Great job Ronnie! Thanks for asking the question about people with non-commercial insurance getting help with the copays o the vials. I have a Medicare plan and until you asked that question, I was not aware of their offer to help those on Medicare and Medicaid. The pens are a lot cheaper because one box lasts me about 6 weeks or longer and a vial dies in 28 days. That was one of my frustrations about having to switch to a vial.
